coach as to which matches to play players.

arrangements have been made ahead of time).
- Players
will play by the rules of volleyball and will display fair play by
treating all those involved in the match with dignity and respect.
- There
is ZERO TOLERANCE for drug and alcohol use by parents and players at any
club function, including practices and tournaments. Violators of this rule will be
immediately dismissed with NO REFUND.
- Players

practices, showing maximum enthusiasm, demonstrating good sportsmanship,
participating in officiating and scorekeeping assignments, and working at
developing their own skills.
- No
player is guaranteed a specific position. The coach determines all
positions. The coach will
assess strengths and weaknesses of all players to determine where an athlete
best fits in the line-up.
- No
player is guaranteed membership for future seasons. Each new season, the number of
teams and roster size will be determined by number of available coaches,
availability of facilities, and previous behavior of the player and
parents, including payment of club and coaches fees.
Practice Rules
- All
practices are open to parents, but please save your questions of the coach
for after practice to keep interruptions to a minimum.
- Scheduled
practice time is the START TIME – NOT the arrival time! Be ready to practice ON TIME! Players who are repeatedly late for
practice with earn themselves a loss of playing time.
- All
players are expected to participate in setting up and putting away the
equipment both before and after practice.
- All
athletes are expected to attend every practice. Only an illness serious enough to
keep a player home from school or a genuine family emergency are
legitimate excuses for missing practice. Regardless of the reason, if a
player misses practice, her playing time may decrease.
- Players
should call the coach if she cannot be at practice. This is the players responsibility,
not her parents.
- Players
should bring their own water to every practice and tournament. No glass containers allowed.
- No
chewing gum, no jewelry, and clean court shoes are a must!
- Hair
must be pulled back from the face.
Barrettes and hair clips are okay as long as they lay flat on the
head. No hard plastic
“claw” hair accessories.
- Practices
will be finished no later than 10:00pm.
- Club
Idaho Northwest Volleyball recognizes the value of middle and high school
athletics. Players should
consult with their coaches to determine what is considered an excused
absence from practice.
- Players
must help maintain the facility they are using. We expect each player to pick up
trash, clean the area, and not abuse the facility during use.
- Players
will not leave practice until all duties are performed including but not
limited to picking up trash, putting away all equipment, and being
released by the coach.
- What
is expected of me (the player)?
- 110%
participation during practice – be accountable for your improvement
- Show
maximum enthusiasm and good attitude
- Demonstrate
good sportsmanship at all times!
- Be a
part of the team – not just on the court
